The current fundraiser being run by the school is a great way to give to our growing student curriculum. The proceeds from the fundraiser goes directly into student body funds, which pays for field trips, busses and all of our attendance and student of the month awards. Every little bit helps! November 1, 2018 is the deadline for all sales.

The Friends of Yorkdale PTO, will be hosting a fun and spooky Halloween carnival on the main yard, from 3:00 - 6:00 pm, on Halloween, 10/31. Don't miss out on the food, fun and frights!

All proceeds go toward the Friends of Yorkdale PTO group.

There will be a costume parade on the yard, Halloween day, 10/31, from 8:30 - 9:00 am on the main yard. Students are encouraged to change into regular attire after the event. The library will be open with alternative activities for those who do not wish to join.

Some reminders:

• New Class Lists will be posted in the front of the school starting Monday, August 6, 2018.
• On the first day of school, August 14, grades 1-5 will line up on the yard by their new room numbers. New ETK, TK, and Kinder students will go to the Auditorium for orientation and a tour.

• Morning Valet and the entrance and exit gate will be on Nolden St. The east side of the school.
• Students may not arrive before 7:30 a.m.  Supervision on the yard starts at 7:30 a.m. 
• Instruction begins promptly at 8:20 a.m.  Anyone entering after 8:20 a.m. is tardy
• Students need to line-up on the yard, starting when the warning bell rings at 8:10 a.m. in grades ETK-5^th.

Students are dismissed at 2:43p.m. Monday-Friday in all grades, except for every Tuesdays which will be early dismissal.  Every Tuesday during the 2018-19 school year, will dismiss at 1:43 pm.

After School Programs:

LA’s BEST provides after school supervision on the playground for children in grades K-5 from dismissal time until 5:45pm every school day. Applications are available in the glass office near the main entrance.

YS CARE is a free for all program located at the lunch benches. Parents must sign children in with the onsite coach.
